The Prince Edward Island Model Forest Partnership (PEIMFP) joined the CMFN in September 2012, although it was established in 2002 and operated in collaboration with Nova Forest Alliance.

The PEIMFP’s mandate is to “build broad based partnerships that will consider the views of all those interested in PEI's forest...support education, demonstration and research projects.”

PEIMFP has worked for over a decade to engage youth and adults alike about the importance of forests, and sustainable forest management
